THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS FOR SAW BLADES. I HAVE THREE TEN INCH FREUD SAW BLADES WORKING IN MY SHOP RIGHT NOW, IN CHOP SAWS AND ONE TABLE SAW, FOR MY MONEY I DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET A BETTER BLADE FOR THE MONEY.
That blade is a Freud 40 tooth, but this blade is just so much better with hardwoods. I have a pretty good saw, but the thin kerf design would allow weaker saws to make great cross cuts as well.
I bought this blade mainly for cross cutting hardwoods on my sliding miter saw. I can't say enough about this blade.
I've also noticed that when bringing the blade down for face cuts on a wide board that the saw doesn't bog down at all. I had an 80 tooth blade before and would only burn hardwoods on cross cuts.
This blade glides through cuts with ease and even leaves a very good finish on the cut. I like this blade so much that I'm probably going to replacing the blade in my table saw (bosch 4000) with this one.
It just makes working with hardwoods nice and easy.
This blade was my first move into thin kerf, modern blade technology. My 1 3/4 HP table saw appears to have developed new vitality just because of the excellence of this blade. What a thrill. This blade, as the old expression goes, cuts like a hot knife through butter. I am sold on the value of better quality blades and would certainly recommend this blade as being a member of that class. Money well spent.
After buying the first blade I liked how it cut so much I bought two more for my other saws. Cuts very smooth and the first thing i noticed was how quiet it was.
Custumer service from Amazon is great. I have never purchased anything from Amazon in this condition.I am giving it 2 stars because of the condition the item arrived in and because the post requires a rating in order to post. As soon as we opened the box, we found the blade packaging was scotched taped on all sides and blade teeth had saw dust all over them.Amazon send a replacement that arrived today.If we had sent the old blade back, we would have thought we had received the same exact blade. The second package arrived scotched taped on all sides and had saw dust embedded in between the blades.This was very dissapointing. I can't possibly rate the blade based on OUR use. I am gessing it is a 1 for the people who returned it.
